We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Enfermera práctica titulada (RPN) para unirse al Labour and Delivery team en un hospital regional de Whitehorse. In this role, you will support patients through labor, assist with deliveries, and help with postpartum recovery and early newborn care under the supervision of RNs and physicians.
This is an ideal opportunity for RPNs passionate about maternal and newborn health who are open to a meaningful role in a supportive, northern healthcare environment.
Responsabilidades clave

Provide hands-on support to birthing individuals throughout labor and delivery

Monitor vital signs, fetal heart rates, and signs of labor progression

Assist with delivery preparations and post-delivery cleanup

Provide postpartum care and newborn support, including bonding and feeding assistance

Accurately document care and report clinical changes to the supervising RN or physician

Support patients with emotional reassurance and family-centered care practices

Maintain a safe and hygienic birthing environment
Requisitos

Activo Licencia RPN con el Asociación de enfermeras tituladas de Yukón (YRNA) o elegibilidad para registrarse

Actual BLS (Soporte Vital Básico) certificación

Prior experience in maternity, postpartum, or women’s health care

Perinatal or obstetric nursing education is an asset

Strong interpersonal, observational, and communication skills

Ability to adapt to the demands of a rural northern healthcare setting
