We are seeking a compassionate and vigilant Enfermera diplomada (RN) to provide care in a Medical Detox Unit supporting individuals undergoing supervised withdrawal from alcohol, opioids, and other substances. Based in Winnipeg, this role focuses on stabilization, symptom management, and early engagement in recovery services.
The ideal candidate brings strong clinical skills, emotional resilience, and a trauma-informed approach to care.
Responsabilidades clave

Monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms in accordance with detox protocols

Perform nursing assessments and implement individualized care plans

Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions

Provide support and education to patients on recovery and harm reduction

Collaborate with addiction counsellors, social workers, and physicians

Maintain accurate documentation of patient status and interventions

Respond promptly to medical emergencies or behavioral escalations
Requisitos

Active RN license in Canada (CRNM or eligible for Manitoba licensure)

Actual BLS certification (ACLS and CPI/non-violent crisis intervention preferred)

Mínimo 1 año experience in mental health, addictions, or medical-surgical nursing

Understanding of substance use disorders and withdrawal management

Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills

Able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends
