Job Overview

We are hiring a flexible and highly skilled Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel contract in Kingston. In this dynamic role, you’ll provide care across multiple units—including medical-surgical, telemetry, emergency, and step-down units—based on daily staffing needs.

This role is perfect for adaptable nurses who enjoy variety, challenge, and working in fast-paced clinical environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver nursing care across various hospital units as assigned per shift

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care

  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage IV therapy

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes

  • Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems

  • Adhere to hospital protocols, safety regulations, and infection control standards


Requirements

  • Active RN license with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or eligibility

  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in acute care settings (multi-unit experience preferred)

  • Current BLS (ACLS preferred)

  • Strong critical thinking and time management skills

  • Comfortable floating between departments with minimal orientation

  • Fully vaccinated and clear vulnerable sector background check
