We are hiring a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join the Dialysis Unit at a leading hospital in St. John’s. In this supportive role, you will assist patients receiving renal treatment by helping with pre- and post-dialysis care, mobility, comfort, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with mobility, positioning, and comfort during dialysis treatments

• Provide basic personal care (e.g., hygiene, dressing, toileting) before and after sessions

• Transport patients to and from dialysis chairs or treatment rooms

• Monitor and report changes in patients’ physical or emotional condition

• Ensure infection control practices are followed

• Support a respectful and calm care environment

• Maintain clean and organized patient areas

Requirements

• Valid PSW Certificate from a recognized Ontario or Newfoundland program

• Experience in a hospital or renal care setting is an asset

• Current CPR/First Aid certification

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with nurses, technicians, and physicians

• Fully vaccinated with TB screening and background check clearance
