Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Personal Support Worker (PSW) for a travel assignment at a long term care facility in Yellowknife. In this role, you’ll support elderly residents with daily activities and contribute to their comfort, dignity, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility

Provide companionship and emotional support

Serve meals and support feeding as needed

Report changes in resident condition to the nursing team

Document care activities in accordance with facility guidelines

Maintain a clean and safe environment

Support a person-centered and culturally respectful care model
Requirements

Certified PSW (or equivalent Health Care Aide certificate)

Minimum 6 months – 1 year of experience in long term care or elder support

Current CPR/First Aid certification

TB screening and immunization record
-
Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check

Fully vaccinated per provincial/territorial health guidelines

Willingness to relocate for duration of contract
