Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join a resident-centered care team at a reputable Long-Term Care (LTC) facility in Vaughan. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in supporting elderly residents with daily living activities, promoting dignity, safety, and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and toileting

• Support safe lifting, transfers, and repositioning using mechanical aids when necessary

• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents

• Observe and report changes in resident health or behavior to nursing staff

• Assist with meals and hydration

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in care records

• Follow established care plans, infection control procedures, and safety protocols

Requirements

• Valid PSW Certificate from an Ontario-recognized institution

• Current CPR/First Aid certification

• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

• Prior experience in LTC, assisted living, or dementia care is an asset

• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
