We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Infirmier(e) auxiliaire autorisé(e) (IAA) pour rejoindre le Surgical Recovery (PACU) team in Windsor, ON. This role involves assisting patients as they recover from anesthesia following various surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong assessment skills, excellent communication, and a calm presence during high-acuity care transitions.

Principales responsabilités

• Monitor post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia

• Record and report vital signs, oxygen levels, and pain assessments

• Administer medications and provide wound care under RN/physician direction

• Support patient mobility, comfort, and stabilization in the recovery phase

• Assist in identifying complications and reporting changes in condition

• Provide reassurance and discharge instructions to patients and families

• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to PACU protocols

Exigences

• Active RPN license with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers de l'Ontario (OIIO)

• Actuel BLS certification (mandatory)

• At least 6 months experience in surgical, PACU, or acute care setting

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Strong observational skills and ability to recognize early signs of distress

• Willingness to work rotating day, evening, or weekend shifts
