Job Overview
We are hiring a compassionate and experienced Personal Support Worker (PSW) for a travel role in a palliative care unit in Kelowna, BC. The ideal candidate will provide comfort-focused care to individuals with life-limiting conditions, supporting both patients and their families with professionalism and empathy.
This role is perfect for PSWs who are skilled in end-of-life care and are looking to gain experience in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver direct personal care including bathing, dressing, and feeding

Provide emotional support to patients and families during palliative stages

Assist patients with mobility and positioning for comfort

Observe and report patient status changes to supervising nurses

Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful care environment

Uphold dignity, privacy, and compassion in all interactions
Requirements

Valid PSW certification from a Canadian-accredited institution

Minimum of 6 months’ experience in palliative or hospice care

Current CPR and First Aid certifications

Up-to-date immunizations and clear background check

Strong communication and emotional resilience

Willingness to relocate for short-term travel contracts
