Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Travel RN to join the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) in St. John’s, where you’ll care for patients with acute cardiac conditions including MI, arrhythmias, heart failure, and post-interventional cardiac recovery. This high-acuity role is ideal for critical care nurses who excel in fast-paced environments and have strong cardiac monitoring experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide critical care nursing for patients with complex cardiac diagnoses

  • Monitor and interpret ECGs, manage cardiac drips, and assist with cardiac interventions

  • Respond to cardiac emergencies, including code blue situations

  • Collaborate with cardiologists, respiratory therapists, and allied professionals

  • Ensure accurate documentation in electronic health records

  • Educate patients and families on cardiac care and recovery


Requirements

  • Active RN license with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL) or eligibility to register

  • Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac or critical care experience

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications

  • Experience with telemetry, cardiac medications, and post-angioplasty care

  • Excellent assessment, prioritization, and emergency response skills
