We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Personal Support Worker (PSW) for a travel assignment at a long term care facility in Yellowknife. In this role, you’ll support elderly residents with daily activities and contribute to their comfort, dignity, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Serve meals and support feeding as needed

• Report changes in resident condition to the nursing team

• Document care activities in accordance with facility guidelines

• Maintain a clean and safe environment

• Support a person-centered and culturally respectful care model

Requirements

• Certified PSW (or equivalent Health Care Aide certificate)

• Minimum 6 months – 1 year of experience in long term care or elder support

• Current CPR/First Aid certification

• TB screening and immunization record

• Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check

• Fully vaccinated per provincial/territorial health guidelines

• Willingness to relocate for duration of contract
