Job Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Neurology Unit of a leading hospital in Regina. This role involves caring for patients with a range of neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, and post-neurosurgical recovery. You’ll be part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based care and improving outcomes for patients with complex neurological needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to neurology patients

• Monitor and manage symptoms such as seizures, altered consciousness, and mobility impairments

• Support neurosurgical post-op recovery, including frequent neuro assessments and monitoring

• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed

• Educate patients and families about neurological conditions and ongoing care

• Collaborate closely with neurologists, rehab therapists, and allied health professionals

• Accurately document patient progress in EMR systems and contribute to discharge planning

Requirements

• Active RN license with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) or eligibility to register

• Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care; neurology or neurosurgery preferred

• Current BLS certification (ACLS an asset)

• Strong neurological assessment and critical thinking skills

• Clear vulnerable sector check and immunization record required
