Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel contract in Mississauga. You will provide care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and symptom management.

This role is ideal for nurses who demonstrate clinical excellence, emotional resilience, and a passion for supporting patients through their cancer journey.


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy and other oncology-related treatments

  • Monitor patient responses and manage treatment-related side effects

  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families

  • Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and allied health professionals

  • Document care plans and treatment outcomes accurately in EMR

  • Adhere to oncology protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures


Requirements

  • Active RN license with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or eligibility

  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in oncology nursing

  • Chemotherapy certification (deSouza Institute or equivalent) required

  • Current BLS (ACLS preferred)

  • Excellent clinical assessment and communication skills

  • Fully vaccinated and clear vulnerable sector background check
