Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and resilient Emergency Room RN to join the front-line team at a regional hospital in Yarmouth, NS. You’ll play a critical role in assessing and treating patients in urgent and emergent situations, working closely with a skilled clinical team in a high-demand environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage patients and prioritize emergency care delivery

• Perform rapid assessments, initiate IVs, administer medications

• Respond to cardiac arrests, trauma cases, and medical emergencies

• Document all interventions accurately and promptly

• Communicate effectively with physicians, EMS, and support teams

• Ensure patient and staff safety according to hospital protocols

Requirements

• Active RN license in Canada (CRNNS or eligibility for NS licensure)

• Minimum 1 year experience in emergency or critical care settings

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (mandatory)

• TNCC or trauma nursing certification is an asset

• Strong clinical judgment and ability to remain calm under pressure

• Flexible to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
