We are actively seeking an experienced and compassionate Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel contract in Ottawa. In this high-acuity role, you’ll care for critically ill infants and children with complex medical, surgical, or trauma-related conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients

• Monitor vitals, manage life-support equipment, and respond to rapid changes in condition

• Administer medications, IVs, and ventilator support

• Collaborate with pediatric intensivists, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists

• Provide emotional support and education to families

• Maintain detailed documentation using EMR systems

• Uphold strict safety and infection control standards

Requirements

• Active RN license with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or eligibility

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Pediatric ICU or Pediatric Acute Care Unit

• Current BLS and PALS required (ACLS and TNCC are assets)

• Excellent critical care and pediatric assessment skills

• Fully vaccinated and clear vulnerable sector check

• Strong interpersonal and family-centered care approach
