Job Overview
We are hiring a flexible and highly skilled Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel contract in Kingston. In this dynamic role, you’ll provide care across multiple units—including medical-surgical, telemetry, emergency, and step-down units—based on daily staffing needs.
This role is perfect for adaptable nurses who enjoy variety, challenge, and working in fast-paced clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver nursing care across various hospital units as assigned per shift

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care

Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage IV therapy

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes

Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems
-
Adhere to hospital protocols, safety regulations, and infection control standards
Requirements
-
Active RN license with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or eligibility
-
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in acute care settings (multi-unit experience preferred)

Current BLS (ACLS preferred)

Strong critical thinking and time management skills

Comfortable floating between departments with minimal orientation

Fully vaccinated and clear vulnerable sector background check
